Dr. Giancarlo Ferrari, Veterinary Epidemiologist" at IZSLT (Rome).
He is a veterinarian, specialized in epidemiology and biostatistics. In FAO, he coordinated a regional project in Central Asian countries. He was also based in Afghanistan leading a project on FMD and PPR. In collaboration with the EuFMD, he has worked on the formulation of the FMD Progressive Control Pathway.
In December 2016, Giancarlo left FAO and is currently working at Istituto Zooprofilattico del Lazio e della Toscana, in Rome (Italy). He is a member of the EuFMD Standing Technical Committee.
