Masale bhat is a very easy and simple recipe. Generally in Maharashtiran weddings this type of masale bhat is served. This recipe doesn’t have onion or garlic in it. Very few spices are used. It tastes just awesome. Do try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. You also can like, share and subscribe.

Ingredients:
• 2 tbsp Oil
• 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
• 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
• 2 Bay leaves
• 8~10 Curry leaves
• A pinch of Hing
• 1 tsp Ginger- Green chili paste (1/2” Ginger & 1 Green chili)
• 1 tsp Coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp Garam masala
• 1 tsp Red chili powder
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp Goda masala
• 1/4 cup Tindora
• 1/4 cup Green peas
• 1 cup Rice
• 2 cups Water
• Few Cashew nuts
• 1/4 tsp Gudh / Jaggery (Optional)
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Ghee (Optional)

Method:
• Heat up oil in a cooker.
• When the oil is enough hot, either turn off the gas or lower down
the heat.
• Add mustard seeds and let them pop up.
• Add cumin seed and let them splutter.
• Add bay leaves, curry leaves, hing, ginger-green chili paste and fry
it for about 30 seconds on low heat.
• Add coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric
powder goda masala and everything well.
• Add tindora, green peas, rice and mix well.
• Just wash the rice really good. No need to soak it.
• You can add veggies of your choice.
• Add water, cashew nuts, jaggery, salt to taste, ghee and mix well.
• Adding jaggery and ghee is optional. You can skip it if you don’t
like.
• Close the lid and cook on medium heat until 3 whistles.
• Masale bhat is already.
• You can serve this hot with ghee, shredded fresh coconut and a
slice of lemon if you like.
